Women with more curves are often pulled out of the metal detector line and are "randomly" selected out for electronic xxx-ray scan. We are told the images are ghost outlines, if this were true "Hot women" would not be selected for closer "inspection." We are also told a screener of the same sex is doing the examination, trust us. We would be naive to believe that powerful digital strip search tools would not be abused. Fortunately, radiation protective and dignity preserving garments are available to say NO to this abuse.  With

This is not limited to the US the UK has installed the equivalent equipment and not surprising are having the same abuses. British Airports Authority employee John Laker, 25, took a photo of fellow worker Jo Margetson's breasts when she mistakenly walked into the X-ray machine.[4] He then made a lewd comment about her "gigantic tits," this is how a fellow worker was treated, if you think they have respect for the public that they work for, guess again. 

British Airlines (BA) has issued thousands of i-pads to employees to  implement a ‘Know Me’ scheme will improve customer service by making it more personalized.  Using Google Images to search for pictures to link with passenger profiles, helping staff to identify them next time they fly.  British Airways assure us that they comply with "privacy" laws meaning they security partners and government know everything about you and you know nothing about them. [5]  What better tool for capturing, sharing and saving images with friends.

While the TSA attempts to assure us the systems "don't use radiation,'" images are "fuzzy," remote room screeners can't see the booth, the systems are safe, etc... With the agency's spotless record and stellar level of honesty and professionalism, we should take them at their word.

TSA advertised giving employees "x-ray" vision as a benefit in the actual banner below while telling the public the detailed images are not graphic.

Notable Celebrities such as former Baywatch actress Donnna D'Errico and many others have been selected for scanning.

Ms. D'Errico says when she asked the agent why she was singled out for the full body scan and not others he responded, "because you caught my eye and they didn't."  Her son was also given the body scan after she told the agent that they were traveling together, she said.   D'Errico says the agent never gave her the option for a pat-down.

Once she got through the line, she says she looked back and saw the TSA agent laughing, whispering and smiling as he and two other male TSA agents looked at her.  "I felt like I was in high school," she said.   D'Errico says no one else from the long line was pulled aside for a body scan.

Texas Mother Scanned Three Times

A Texas mother Elien Terrell, was directed into the scanner three times so the people in the back "viewing" room could get a better peek. [3] Houston CBS 11 News dug through more than 500 records of TSA complaints and detected a pattern of women who believe that there was nothing "random" about the way they were selected for extra screening, states the report, which lists numerous examples of men forcing women to pass through the scanners in a clear pattern of sexual harassment and digital voyeurism.

Quoting Senator Chuck Schumer:

“Going through security at our nations airports should not be a humiliating or degrading experience,” remarked New York Senator Schumer after hearing about the investigation. “Because the TSA has refused to put passenger advocates at our nation’s airports, today I’m introducing legislation that would force them to do so.” 

A far better solution would be to remove the scanners and make airlines responsible for security.

Graphic images aside health issues are ignored

While the obvious abuse of powerful imaging is clear.  The penetrating  invisible radiation is a heath risk to ALL including the scanner operators.  Particularly expecting mothers, fathers to be, children, elderly, fair-skinned persons and people with DNA repair issues. Some Breast cancers are radiation sensitive as are testicular cancers   with the BRCA gene required for DNA repair.  

As we have exhaustively documented, TSA workers tasked with protecting the traveling public and operating whole body scanners have found themselves embroiled in an epidemic of misbehavior, with new cases appearing on an almost daily basis.
