INSTADOSE Radiation Dosimeter

The Instadose™ dosimeter from Quantum Products brings radiation monitoring into the digital age. Smaller than a flash drive, this rugged, fully accredited dosimeter provides an instant read-out when connected to any computer with internet access and a USB connection. Based on a patented direct ion storage technology, Instadose devices provide radiation workers with a precise measurement of radiation dose.

  • Instant accurate reading of dose, no need to wait weeks to get results.
  • No hidden calibration fees or batteries to replace.
  • Suspect you got a dose check before and after.
  • Small does not look like a radiation badge, comes in many five colors.
  • No hidden administrative, reading, shipping, transfer fees, very economical.
  • Concerned about your exposure during pregnancy?
  • Getting medical x-rays or security x-rays?
  • Read from common PC or Mac with USB Port
  • Configures in minutes, run reports manage units.

Advantages for corporate traveler, flight crew, frequent flyer, or security worker.
Read before you fly check your dose at any point thought security, fight, arrival, and when you get home.  Corporate employee and officer risk management, issue as needed for travel share badges to save.

Advantages for the Practice

A monitoring program with the instadose device and service is a cost-effective way to safeguard your practice from potential legal claims. Employees will be more likely to wear this stylish device, and you can reassure them of their safety and stay in compliance with Federal and State regulations at the same time.

Simplify the administration of your monitoring program.

With instadose devices there is no need to send badges to a processing center, as these devices stay with your employees. You will spend less time managing your account with our robust online account management program and dose reading capabilities.

Applications Advantages for the Radiation Worker

This revolutionary device provides radiation workers with complete control over when and how frequently they review their dose, with unlimited readings included for one low price. Concerns about a possible exposure can be addressed immediately, as opposed to other services which provide readings on a quarterly or monthly basis. Instadose devices can be re-read without loss of exposure data, with cumulative exposure maintained.

Instant Dose Readings

With AMP (Account Management Program), you will have easy access to up-to-the-minute exposure reports. If there is ever a concern of radiation exposure, you can log in to your secure account page and check your dose level. Devices can be read on any computer with a USB connection and internet access.  Account administrators can also manage all the elements of a radiation monitoring program with AMP. From account administration to managing individual wearers, devices, and locations, AMP provides real-time access to account details, device assignments, reports, and pertinent account information.  AMP has multiple security levels, restricting users within an account from viewing other wearers’ data or changing account information. Users can only perform readings for devices assigned to them.  With AMP, administrators can:

  •  View current and historical exposure readings
  •  Perform readings for devices within the account
  •  View graphical representation and comparative review of user exposure readings
  •  Manage how frequently devices are read
  •  Update account information

AMP is also your source for information. Keep up-to-date on radiation monitoring articles for your industry by logging into your AMP account. Whether your industry is veterinary, dentistry, or radiology, you will be able to view and search the news that is relevant to your industry.

Federal and State regulations limit the amount of radiation that workers are allowed to receive. Radia tion monitoring should be considered for those who work in occupations where risks may be prevalent due to exposures from X-ray equipment. Instadose is the perfect device to measure photon dose.  Instadose is NVLAP accredited and is in compliance with ANSI HPS N13.11 2001 through performance.

Radiation is becoming more common in the environment and can be a significant risk to human health. Airline pilots, industrial, power and defense workers often operate in high radiation environments. Medical, dental, veterinary, chiropractic industrial and security imaging are using more radiographic techniques. Accidental and intentional releases of radiative materials is a increasing concern for many. Devices to warn and accurately quantify radiation dose rates and total exposure are needed.

Following the release of a May 2012 report, newspapers around the world advertised headlines announcing that the World Health Organization (WHO) assumes that Fukushima radiation emissions pose minimal health risk. Based on an assessment of published emissions of radioiodine and cesium up through September 2011, Japan’s nuclear meltdown poses no serious cancer risk, except for localized exposures around Fukushima prefecture, which may result in increased danger of thyroid cancer.

In the event you were planning on putting an atomic bomb in your pocket during your next flight you may get caught. Never mind congress has cleared the way for nuclear powered unmanned drones to fly over our heads and look in our windows.   Forget that thousands of hand held surface to air missiles some us made are missing from the various wars on terror. And our troops are inhaling depleted uranium (DU) dust.

We are again assured by our friends at TSA and DHS that the scanners are “safe."
To date, no independent party has confirmed the radiation intensity and body exposure number from this exotic imaging technology.  Many scientists, doctors and researchers from the fields of physics and medicine disagree with the asserted numbers.   Still, the actual measurements are classified and public reports have been heavily redacted for “National Security."  Odd thing national heath takes a back seat to for “National Security” and the governments need to peek without  a warrant.  How about making health security and body security a prority?

FEDERAL BLOCKADE OF TEXAS! TSA THREATENS FINANCIAL TERRORISM

The citizens of Texas are rightfully concerned about health, privacy and legal search issues created by invasive screening techniques at the airports. Texas the Lone Star State was considering a bill that would make a TSA pat-downs that involves touching “the anus, sexual organ, buttocks, or breast of another person, including through the clothing” a misdemeanor, allowing Texas law enforcement to arrest TSA staff and charge them with sexual harassment.

Amputees worry about airport security screening health risk.

People with prosthetic limbs complain about the CastScope, a screening device, that uses backscatter X-ray technology to identify security threats concealed in a prosthetic, cast or bandage. They are correctly concerned about radiation exposure, the length of time it takes to be screened and a lack of qualified personnel operating the devices.

We are told by TSA/DHS the x-ray radiation is not penetrating.  If just a few cm or about an inch into the body is not penetrating then this is true.   Or the dose is "insignificant", trust us.  DHS/TSA are security experts not physicists not surprising the statements are lacking and or misleading.

Study Findings: Cancer Can Begin in Sudden Catastrophic Event

study in the January 7, 2011 issue of the journal Cell finds that cancer cells, conventionally thought to develop exclusively over longer periods of time can also begin in a single event, "whereby tens to hundreds of genomic rearrangements occur in a one-off cellular crisis."

Iodine is responsible for the production for all of the hormones in the body. Adequate levels are necessary for proper immune function as well as warding off bacteria, parasites, viruses and cancer. Now with trace amounts of radioactive isotopes iodine-131 and 129 being released from reactors in Japan and others, fortunately for now the levels are very low in the US.
